After about a year I decided to go on my own and got a 2 year resident gig Djing at Colonial on Thursday nights while also taking on a Saturday night here and there. In 2017 I started picking up more gigs at the Down Under in Westminster. Down Under soon became my new home Djing for them every Friday & Saturday night as a Resident DJ for the last year or so. I have since then invested in myself with new gear like my Numark NV2 as well as Speakers, Wireless Mics and Lighting equipment.
When I am not Djing at Down Under I do a few weddings a Year. In 2018 I intend to increase the number of weddings I am Djing, as well as book more proms, and private events with Emjayography at the helm of my bookings. So if you are interested in booking with me feel free.
Hi! My name is Michael Redding and I am a Resident DJ in Maryland. I got the Name DJ Footwork because I would always go out dancing, but dancing wasn’t enough I wanted to also get others dancing. With my love for music, creativity and passion for anything I do I decided to start Djing. I always enjoyed mixes and blends from club DJ’s which is what truly inspired me to take the leap into my passion for becoming a Dj. From the moment I got my first mixer the NUMARK MIXTRACK PRO 2 QUAD In 2015 I got my start working with a company called “Smashing Entertainment” who booked me at my first bar gig at Upper Deck in Mount Airy.
